General Education for Adults
The Mental Illness Fellowship will be offering a General Education course for adults commencing Monday 12 July. The course will be held every Monday and Tuesday (except during school holidays) from 12.00pm until 4.30 at Mahogany Neighbourhood Centre.
The aim of the course is to provide adults with a mental illness skill development in reading, writing and numeracy and to meet the personal needs of students to facilitate participation in the community, further education, training and employment.
The course full fee is $246.60 - concession fee is $50.00

The Mahogany Quilters - Patchwork Classes
Fridays 10.00am-12.00noon
Under the tutelage of craftswoman Cheryl Billing Smith, an experienced patchwork teacher, quilter and designer, the Mahogany Quilters aim is to foster and promote an interest in patchwork and quilting while supporting and encouraging the get-together of like minded people to share their love of the craft, learn new skills and develop new friendships.
Cost: $13.00 per class plus materials (First class FREE!)
Learn to Sew
Fridays 12.30pm-2.30pm
Would you like to learn to sew, use a sewing machine and make some practical things for you and your family? We will start you off with simple, practical, easy projects and show you how to use a sewing machine, how to read a pattern and how to sew a straight seam. Patterns will be provided. You will need some sewing equipment; all this will be explained in your first free class.
Cost: $10.00 per class plus materials (First class FREE!)

FREE Art Classes
Thursdays 7.00pm-9.00pm in the Annex
Local artist, Colin Sievers is offering free art classes for beginners to advanced in sketching and oil painting. Students will be required to bring their own art supplies, however Colin in happy to organize items through his supplier. To set up for sketching will cost about $10 and oil painting about $15.
