City Life Christmas Lunch
Sunday 25 December in the Hall
Since 2002, City Life has run a free Christmas lunch for the lonely and vulnerable of Frankston. Since 2007 the lunch is held in two locations - in the Clyde street Mall outside the City Life Café in Frankston CBD and the Mahogany Centre in Frankston North.
Held on Christmas day, each of our guests receive a treasured gift, are entertained and spoiled by our many volunteers and fed a lunch with all the trimmings. This lunch attracts over 400 guests each year and is supported by the Frankston Council & Community.
Coming up to Christmas we are always looking for supporters and workers to help on the day.  Contact 9770 0660 or info@citylife.net.au for more information.

Good Conversations
About the program: The Brotherhood of St Laurence’s innovative Good Conversations teleconferencing program aims to connect people so they can have a regular chin wag over the phone and to increase people’s social connections, especially those who find it difficult leaving their home.
Volunteers needed: Volunteers are crucial for the success of the program as they facilitate the connections between participants. Being a facilitator involves only one hour’s training.
How does it work?: Teleconferencing is free and easy to use. Participating is simple, just register your interest with the Brotherhood of St Laurence by phoning 1300 147 147. You will be notified of the days and times the group will be chatting and all you need to do is sit by the telephone in a comfortable chair with a nice cup of tea or coffee just before the session starts, enter the 1800 toll-free telephone number and the six-digit pin number provided and then have a good chat with other participants for an hour.
